Ghost Recon: Wildlands’ PVP mode Open Beta Starts Soon

Ghost Recon: Wildlands’ PVP mode is known as ‘Ghost War‘ and will enter beta next week for players on all platforms (PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC). The beta itself is a stand-alone download, where players does not need to own the base game to participate and the beta will be available from 21 to 25 September.

The beta, at launch will have 8 maps and 12 classes available with their unique characteristics, perks and customization, but players can only play 6 of them. This beta enables the player to choose from one of three specific categories—Assault, Marksman, or Support; or the generic grunt with stronger weapons.

As shown in the video above, Ghost War is a 4v4 team deathmatch mode that supports revives. The matches are play on a best-of-three, 10-minute rounds. The mode takes place on a medium-scale without any vehicles or complex objectives–at least at this point. It can be noticed that Ghost War has implemented new PvP-oriented mechanics such as sound markers and suppressing fire.

Although the date for the full release is not specified, Ubisoft indicated that it would be available some time this fall. Stay tuned for more information!
