Recently, Jeffery Rosen the CEO and co-founder of Humble Bundle has posted on the Humble Bundle Blog that they are joining the IGN family.

Jeffery said that “We chose IGN because they really understand our vision, share our passion for games, and believe in our mission to promote awesome digital content while helping charity. I can’t think of a better partner than IGN to help Humble Bundle continue our quest.

Many Netizens feel that this acquisition is odd and will have a conflict on interest between both parties. Humble well known for their charity game bundles which provide buyers a pay what you want modal. This modal allowed consumers to decide what tier they would like to purchase and how to divide it among charitable causes, developers, and Humble itself. Whereas, IGN is a game review company and a for-profit company. Many fear how IGN will treat how their bundles and Humble publish games from now on. However, only time can tell how Humble Bundle will go from here…
